The expertise available is from our own Group resources and that of our consortium of complimentary affiliated companies in the form of consultancy, surveying, training, design, installation and project management services. Our services range from simple site energy surveys to assess the scope and cost of installing domestic loft and cavity wall insulation to the design, supply and installation of major industrial energy saving systems and equipment. In addition we have specialist cost reduction services to assist clients to recover lost assets or overcharges, cash-back services on existing pension funds and other e-commerce services. Founded in 2005 The Carbon Reduction Consortium Ltd was built on the expertise of the Bamford Group (founded 1985) that has 20 years experience of servicing clients in energy conservation and CRC has now become a market leader in delivering viable energy conservation solutions to a wider range of clients in the UK. CRC employs the services of qualified specialists experienced in their fields to deliver this expertise to clients in an ethical and cost effective way
The Consortium therefore brings together the expertise of a number of existing successful companies and individuals presently delivering carbon reduction by energy conservation and renewable energy techniques to industry, commerce, public sector and private individual households. Carbon reduction is the reduction of CO2 and associated greenhouse gases into the atmosphere - which is extremely topical and is assured a viable future by agreed Government targets, legislation and financial incentives. Carbon reduction is achieved by the application of well proven energy conservation techniques and renewable & alternative energy systems. It is an attractive way of controlling costs for both householders and corporate organisations with the benefits going straight to the bottom line. The application of self-financing automated energy saving systems – which are ‘fit and forget’ and remove the reliance on people to maintain the impetus – are very attractive to corporate end users and key to the Consortium’s long term activities
This business is in the right area and at the right time for rapid expansion with the existing in house personnel, facilities and affiliated expertise and will help the UK Government to deliver on environmental commitments. The business is a complimentary mixture of consultancy and surveying expertise and contracting expertise and there is a world-wide deficit of trained energy consultants and companies capable of delivering this required expertise. The current turnover is split 40% consultancy and surveying and 60% contracting and has been built up over a period of a minimum of 4 years by the directors and managers of the Consortium. Anticipated growth in personnel and turnover is over 200% per annum
With the recent typical 80% rise in electricity and gas prices on contract renewals the days of cheap energy have gone - and a whole new market has opened up for carbon reduction & cost control in energy conservation and management and renewable energy - where viable savings of 30% are achievable to clients who out-source the necessary expertise from recognised consultants and suppliers. The CRC conservation strategy provides clients with savings year on year by methods that are attractive to householders and financial controllers by investment in techniques that offer a return on investment (typically better than 50%) not found elsewhere in commerce. The important and attractive third party financing of capital projects or shared savings schemes offered to clients will assist to implement projects where client funds are limited
The Consortium is based on the work done by Dr Roger Allen (since 1972) - one of the UK’s successful energy management promotion specialists - and the Bamford Group (since 1985) and directors, managers and affiliates that have more that 20 years experience in the energy conservation industry, with existing offices in Rochdale, London and USA. Dr Roger Allen is also co-founder of the Keytech Group (Keytech Managed Services Ltd) a high profile IT company which provides remote monitoring technology and on site support facilities and the Terragenia Group which promotes low cost housing from renewable and sustainable resources. Dr Roger Allen provides his considerable energy expertise to the Consortium to lead his team of experts, under the Consortium’s name, already trained and active in energy conservation, energy management and renewable energy
